9-10 I’ve updated the Mission Info page. There are currently lessons there about typical baths and food.

9-12 I added more information about Martin on the Map page. Plus, there are pictures from Bratislava and Žilina.

 

I won’t be able to constantly update this site, but I’ll update it as often as possible. If you have questions or comments, or have something you would like to see added to the site, email me.

What can I expect to see on this site?

Anything you want…As for me, well, I’m going to try to keep this site updated with as much news from Slovakia as possible. This includes politics, natural disasters, members of the church, and missionaries. I know I won’t be able to keep up with everything, so again email me if need be. However, I am hoping to have a place to add news of your own. I would like this site to be as functional as the site at MyFamily.com

NEWS

On September 20 and 21, Slovaks will go to the polls to vote for the future government. The outcome could determine whether or not Slovakia will be asked to join NATO later this year and if they will gain membership in the European Union in 2004. The leader of the political party SMER Dr. Robert Fico is highly favored to win the election for Prime Minister. He is younger than most candidates (37) and extremely charismatic. He feels his youth gives him an advantage at reaching the younger voters as well because he “speaks their language.” All of the political parties are supporting entrance into NATO and the EU, but their approaches to joining may be different.
